About me and my sick obsession ^^Edit

Hi! I'm DetectiveLayton92 and I am a Professor Layton fan, and a huge one at that. I might live in the US, but I do a pretty good British accent, if I do say so myself. I have the Curious Village, Diabolical Box, Unwound Future, Last Specter, and Eternal Diva in my little collection. To say the least, I'm a die-hard, addicted, obsessed fan. Yup. XD

Thirteen facts about yours truly!Edit

  1. I am currently 13 years old, turning 14 in October.
  2. I have synesthesia. That means that my brain thinks that letters and numbers are colours. Example: pink + aquamarine = black (6+4=10). Search it if you want more info.
  3. My two favourite sports that I love to play are Hockey and Boxing. Weird right? I could probably knock Descole out if I ever got the chance! Not that I would, I mean, why in the world would I do that? XD
  4. I am a huge country music fan!!
  5. I seriously want to be an author when I grow up! It's my dream job!
  6. Thanks to Eternal Diva, I want to learn how to fence/swordfight.
  7. If I had a dollar/pound for every funny thing I've ever said that someone cracked up at, I'd be rich by now. Needless to say, I love to laugh.
  8. When I eat ice cream really fast, I don't get brain freezes, I get spine freezes. No sharp pains in my head, but down my back. Ouch!
  9. If you haven't realized yet, I consider myself crazy.
  10. I know how to play the piano, and I'm thinking about trying violin.

The funny thing about that is...Edit

Once upon a time, there was an advertisement in the Sunday paper.

"Hey, this game is about puzzles and stuff," my mom said, pointing to Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. (Curious Village hadn't come out to stores yet.)

"Yeah, so what?" I asked.

"Doesn't it look like fun? Would you play it if I bought it for you?"

"Sure. Why not," I said, half-heartedly.

So, over the course of the next week, we went to numerous stores, looking for this newly released game. We finally found it and purchased it. Little did I know, that would be the best $29.99 that I ever spent of my mom's money.

"You've got to let me play at least a little," my mom said, opening the package.

Yeah, right. By my first puzzle, I was hooked. I took my Light Pink DS everywhere and completed the game in a matter of days. Actually, I don't think it was even days. More like a day and a half. It was a long time ago, you know.

And that, my friends, is how my mom introduced me to the series and how my obsession with Layton and co. began. But mostly Layton. And Descole. ;)

My Top 6 CharactersEdit

  • Broneph Reinel. I'm not sure that I like this guy. On one hand, I'm going, "Don't unmask Descole! I don't want to know who he is yet!" But then again, "Go ahead and unmask him! You fool! You let him escape!"
  • Inspector Grosky. Ok, he's by far my favourite inspector! He's just hilarious!
  • Janice Quatlane. She's pretty, has an extraordinary voice, and is just downright awesome.
  • Emmy Altava. She's awesome! By far the best female character of the series, besides Janice and Claire. And the similarities of me and her are striking, such as: hair colour, voice, personality, love of mysteries and all things crime-related, and fighting ability, although I'd never really fight someone unless I had to!
  • Hershel Layton. Duh! Of course he's on my top 6! He's awesome, and a REALLY REALLY close second! He's a genius, true gentleman, and he was my first love until Jean Descole came along!
  • Jean Descole. O...m...g. He's got it all, I swear! Hotness, evilness, brains, and brawn? He couldn't get more awesome if he tried! Ok, maybe. But still!
